Grupa LOTOS S.A. engages in extracting and processing crude oil and natural gas, as well as selling petroleum products.

The company manufactures and delivers, among others, unleaded petrol, diesel oil, light fuel oil, aviation fuel, heavy oil, naphtha and liquefied gas propane-butane (LPG) and lubricants and bitumens.

The company is a vertically integrated fuel refiner and producer of chemical products and also provides specialized logistics services and maintenance services.

The company operates in 82 countries. However, its products are sold mainly in Poland and other European countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Estonia, and in the Czech Republic. The range of products and services are sold and performed under the company’s brand. Among them there is a range of motor fuels sold in Poland at 493 conveniently situated petrol stations (including 20, so-called, Motorway Service Areas, situated next to highways A1, A2, A4 and A6 and express roads S3 and S7), range of oils (motor and industrial oils), car care products, various road construction bitumens and other industrial bitumens, and JET A1 aviation fuel (sold by LOTOS-Air BP Poland), as well as various LOTOS brand services, among them logistics (by LOTOS Kolej Sp. z o.o.) and security (by LOTOS Ochrona Sp. z o.o.).

The company also engages in the acquisition of crude oil and natural gas deposits, and extraction of hydrocarbons; wholesale and retail sale of fuels and light fuel oils; maintenance of mechanical and electric operations and controlling devices, as well as overhaul and repair activities; railway transport activities; manufacture of cars; laboratory testing and fire service activities; purchase and sale of crude oil; provision of support activities for extraction and quarrying operations; storage and distribution of fuels; and renting and operating own or leased real estate properties, as well as the provision of logistics and security services.

The company also engages in the acquisition of crude oil and natural gas deposits, and extraction of hydrocarbons; wholesale and retail sale of fuels and light fuel oil, and management of the LOTOS service station network; manufacture and sale of lubricating oils and lubricants, and sale of base oils; and manufacture and sale of bitumens.

Additionally, the company engages in providing railway transport; the maintenance of mechanical and electric operations and controlling devices, and providing overhaul and repair services; providing laboratory testing services; fire service activities; providing security services; and storage and distribution of fuels.

The company also engages in the production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas; production of fatty acid methyl esters; oil exploration and production on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, provision of services incidental to oil and gas exploration and production; crude oil exploration and production, drilling services, and purchase and sale of crude oil; support activities for extraction and quarrying operations; storage and transport of crude oil; ship operation advisory services; provision of sea transport and related services; ship chartering services; and production of electricity, heat, LPG and natural gas condensate.

As of December 31, 2017, the company had confirmed reserves of crude oil and natural gas of the 2P category (proved and probable) of total 88.2 million boe, including 8.8 million tonnes of crude oil and 3.3 billion m3 of natural gas.
