Stevia Corp. operates as a farm management company. The company primarily focuses on the commercial development of natural products that support a healthy lifestyle, including stevia, hemp, and their extracts.
Products and Services
The company’s farm management services include training the farmers on the correct protocols and methodologies and providing ongoing technical assistance during the crop cycle, as well as providing inputs, such as the seedlings, fertilizers and additives they are required to use. The company applies its services under three business models: contract farming model, revenue share model, and product supply model.
Under the contract farming and revenue share models the company does not charge for the services and inputs, but rather its services provide the company with an advantage to secure growers who are willing to dedicate their land and resources to grow crops with an expectation of high yielding, high quality crops and guaranteed purchase prices. Under the contract farming model the company would purchase the crop from the grower at a fixed price and sell to its own customer. Under the revenue share model, the grower already has their own buyer and the company would share the revenue. Under the product supply model, the company would market its products in combination with technical services to buyers and charge a fee.
The company’s production farms are located in Vietnam, Indonesia and China. In Vietnam and Indonesia, the company has contracted with growers and has established its own nurseries and test fields. In China, the company works with local partners to produce its crops and its proprietary formulated products.
The company’s product line includes aquaculture feed for shrimp and fish, feed for livestock, granular fertilizers and foliar spray.
Commercial Farming of Cannabis
In 2014, the company entered into a farm management and technology agreement with ebbu LLC to provide farm management consultancy and technical expertise related to growing the cannabis plant and extracting its cannabinoids.
Hemp Products/Services
The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Real Hemp LLC, is working together with local Chinese partners to secure sources of hemp products, such as shelled hemp seeds, edible oil, meal, flour, protein, industrial fiber and cannabinoid extracts to meet the requirements of the U.S. manufacturers and retailers.
History
The company was incorporated in 2007 in the state of Nevada under the name Interpro Management Corp. and changed its name to Stevia Corp. in 2011.
