Environmental and Regulatory Considerations
The company manufactures and sells certain disinfecting, sanitizing, and material preservation products that kill or reduce microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) on hard environmental surfaces, in process fluids, and on certain food products. Such products constitute ‘pesticides’ or ‘antimicrobial pesticides’ under the current definitions of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (‘FIFRA’), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996, the principal federal statute governing the manufacture, labeling, handling, and use of pesticides.
