As of March 15, 2025, the company’s fleet included 23 VLCC (very large crude carrier) crude oil tankers, all of which are wholly owned by DHT Holdings, Inc. In addition, the company has contracted to build four new VLCCs, two at Hyundai Heavy Industries and two at Hanwha Ocean in South Korea, for delivery in 2026. VLCCs are tankers ranging in size from 270,000 to 320,000 deadweight tons. As of December 2024, seven of the company’s 23 vessels are on time charters and 16 vessels are operating in the spot market. The fleet operates globally on international routes. The 23 VLCCs in operation have a combined carrying capacity of 7,161,351 dwt and an average age of 10.9 years as of December 2024.
The technical management for all the company’s vessels is carried out by its subsidiary, Goodwood (the ‘Technical Manager’). Under the company’s ship management agreement with the Technical Manager, the Technical Manager is responsible for the technical operation and upkeep of the respective vessel, including crewing, maintenance, repairs and drydockings, maintaining required vetting approvals and relevant inspections, and for promoting vessel compliance with the requirements of classification societies as well as relevant governments, flag state, environmental and other regulations.
Environmental Regulation
All requisite documents of compliance have been obtained with respect to the operators of all the company’s vessels and safety management certificates have been issued for all its vessels for which the certificates are required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The company has implemented the various security measures required by the IMO, SOLAS and the ISPS Code and have approved ISPS certificates and plans certified by the applicable flag state on board all its vessels.
